Pastor Jarvis J. Suggs is a native of Newbern, Tennessee. The son of a Baptist Deacon , he has been in service for the Lord all of his life.  He accepted the call to preach the gospel in 2006 under the pastorate of Doctor  Rev . Johnny Pack IV at Fellowship Missionary Baptist church of Portland, Oregon.

He then served as Youth Pastor of Solid Rock missionary Baptist Church, Stone Mountain, Georgia, for three years. 
 He also served as the Assistant Chaplain for the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department were he also held Bible study on a weekly basis.

In 2009 , Rev. Suggs was called to Pastor Ministry of Hope Missionary Church in Portland, Oregon, where he now serves on the streets as a outreach Pastor for the Homeless .  Under Pastor Suggs Spirit filled leadership, the volunteer membership has increased tremendously . MOHMC is recognized as one of many outreach ministries serving the metro Portland Oregon area.

Pastor Suggs is a kind, humble man of God, Pastor Suggs attributes all things to Christ.  He resides in Gresham, Oregon with his wife Stephanie of 10 years.  They are the parents of four adult children, Eric ,Corey , Melvin , Courtney, and have three grand-babies E”Moni , Cayden and Caylee .
